Good morning, wherever you are! I’ve been up for awhile, doing housework and getting kids breakfast. Today is my wonderful husband’s birthday, and I let him sleep in a bit before the kids and I sang him happy birthday.
Today, I have for you Day 8 matte nails. I’m afraid I didn’t do anything creative here. 😦 I took essie hip-anema as a base, 2 coats:
This is such a lovely bright color. 🙂 I hadn’t used it before. I then used essie leading lady over it:
I should have used a different topper over hip-anema, because leading lady just kind of took over. I think it does “warm up” the manicure though. I then matte-fied it using essie matte about you:
I love using the matte about you! The sparkles just look so nifty. 🙂 What do you think?

I rarely do my thumb, just because I hate how my thumb looks. 😦 To me, it’s ugly and so I refuse to let it be in pictures 😛

The look of the flakies/sparkle look a lot like Barielle’s Elle’s Spell. I kind of like it better shiny. I’m just a shiny type of girl but I do like matte finishes sometimes. I recently tried to use my bottle of Matte About You and it was a total mess…super goopy and it had like white flakes in it. What in the world?!
That sucks! Mine isn’t like that at all. Maybe you got a bad bottle? I usually like shiny better, but sometimes a matte finish just looks nice, you know?
