12 Days of Xmas Manis: Food

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a warm start to your day. Right now it’s a balmy -11, with a low of -24. This doesn’t include wind chill, btw. It’s days like this that I wish I could never leave my bed. But alas, my children like to play, learn, and be fed (for some reason or another).

Today, I decided to do a mash up of different yummy holiday foods: a candy cane, a gingerbread man, a jelly roll, and a pie! My candy cane was inspired by Pause for Polish, the rest were my own designs.

For the candy cane nail, I used Sinful Colors Sail La Vie topped by SC Hottie, then used Julie G Big Red Bow with Wet N Wild A Blank Canvas. ย The gingerbread man is Sinful Colors Tread Gingerly with WNW Blank Canvas, with Julie G Under Mistletoe & Big Red Bow. The jelly roll is pretty simple – WNW A Blank Canvas with WNW Disturbia. Lastly is the pie (because who doesn’t love pie?!), I used SC Nirvana, topped by a mix of Big Red Bow, Disturbia, Blank Canvas, and SC Black on Black. I then used a mix of Tread Gingerly with Nirvana for the crust on top.

I’m still figuring out the “right” pose/hand position in my new lightbox, please let me know which one you like. ๐Ÿ™‚ What do you think about this fun food mash-up? I think I like my pinky finger the best. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tomorrow, I’ll have the last of the 33 Day Challenge nails. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I can’t believe it’s already here. ๐Ÿ™‚ Until then,

  1. I’m so envious of your cold. Granted I’ve never seen snow, so I’m not sure I know what I’m wishing for. But if I could send some of our mid-80s heat your way in exchange for some cool breezes, I’d be a happy camper.

In the mean time, I’ll continue to admire your pretty holiday foodie nails. I love the new light box photos!
