Good morning everyone! Today, April 2, marks the start of Autism Awareness Month. From Autism Spectrum Australia:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong developmental disability that affects, among other things, the way an individual relates to his or her environment and their interaction with other people.
The word ‘spectrum’ describes the range of difficulties that people with ASD may experience and the degree to which they may be affected. Some people may be able to live relatively normal lives, while others may have an accompanying learning disability and require continued specialist support.
I’ve decided to join with others in painting my nails blue throughout this month of April. I won’t be painting my nails blue every day, but I will be showing you blue designs throughout this month.
Today I’ve decided to use Zoya Jacqueline, Zoya Dream, and Zoya Godiva together. I’ve started off with two coats of Zoya Jacqueline on my ring and pinky fingers, and 3 coats of Zoya Godiva on my middle and pointer fingers. I then used Zoya Dream as an accent on my ring and pinky fingers. Lastly, I topped it off with Glisten & Glow’s HK Girl.
I hope you like this design! Spend some time reading up on autism and how it affects your own local community this month of April. You can also check out more blue nails by clicking the blue froggie below:
I love the colors together!
They look great! Nice mani to show support for autism awareness.
Beautiful mani for a great cause.
I’m going blue this month too! My brother is autistic, so I’m doing it to support him…though he doesn’t care. XD I’m giving up at least one nail per hand and am gonna be sporting a blue puzzle piece on my big toes. There’s so much misunderstanding about autism in the world, and I’d just like to help combat that in any way I can.
That is so awesome! 🙂 I’m glad that you are doing this for your brother. 🙂
