Good morning everyone! (Well, it’s still morning here.) Do you ever have one of those weeks that you swear every morning that you wake up that it’s finally Friday? Yeah….one of those weeks for me. It feels like it’s been 20 days long! LOL. Anyway, I have 5 hot polishes from NYC New York Color’s City Samba Collection for you today. Click through after the collage for the full review!
NYC New York Color Sweet Melon is the perfect cantaloupe color. My photo shows it a bit brighter than it is in person. This has a hidden shimmer that you can see in the bottle, but it’s not really there on the nail. This is 3 coats, with NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry top coat.
NYC New York Color Tropicoral is a pink and bright coral color. All I can say is “YUM!” This is 2 coats, with NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry top coat.
NYC New York Color Jacaranda Flower is a jelly-ish bright purple. This is really lovely! This is 3 coats, with NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry top coat.
NYC New York Color Amazon Green is a frosty mint green. Frosts are just not my thing, but I do love the color! I had a bit of trouble with the formula, this was a bit thicker than the rest. This is an outside shot, to get close to color-accuracy. This is 3 coats, with NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry top coat.
NYC New York Color Palm on the Beach is a gorgeous kelly green. I know, my skin is terribly orange, but I was trying to get as close as possible to the bright kelly green (it’s still slightly off though). I absolutely adore this color. But beware, this is a stainer! 😦 This is 2 coats, with NYC In a New York Minute Quick Dry top coat.
NYC New York Color City Samba nail polish collection, which retails at $1.99, also includes: Carnival Red, Copabanana, and Ocean Blue. Besides nail polish, there is also Liquid Lipshine Lip Gloss in three limited edition shades (retail $1.99); Sun N’ Bronze Bronzing Powder in two limited edition shades (retail $4.99); and Show Time Nail Art in three limited edition shades (retail $1.99).
Next week, I’m going to show you 5 simple nail art looks that I created with these colors. What do you think of these colors, any favorites? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Don’t forget that tomorrow starts the Summer Time Nail Art Challenge, so until then,
I’m in love with the whole collection! The colors aren’t necessarily unique, but they’re so bright and summery 🙂
I have been taking more and more pictures outside too! I am always so much happier with the color clarity with the outside photos.
Sweet Melon looks so good on you!! Love it!
Sweet Melon is THE orange I have been dreaming about! I swear! Can’t wait to see your nail art with this.
I’m not sure my first comment worked, but I wanted to say that I love Sweet Melon!! It’s so so nice and fresh! Great swatches x
