12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge: Nightmare Before Christmas

Good morning all! I gotta tell you, I almost didn’t complete the prompt of Nightmare Before Christmas for the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art challenge because I was super stressed and tired last night. But I persevered and I’m glad I did.

Let me first show you my inspiration picture. This is from the part of the movie where Jack Skellington stumbles into Christmastown and sings the song “What’s This?”, which is my favorite song of the movie.

First I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors Into the Blue 1194. This is without top coat and it’s just so creamy and beautiful. I couldn’t remember if it was a stainer though, so I used 2 coats of base coat.

Then I did my first radial gradient with Sinful Colors Into the Blue and Sail La Vie 1196 (swatched just recently!). I was actually really happy how this came out! I need to try out more radial gradients.

I then used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Black on Black to create Jack. He didn’t turn out the best, but he’s okay, I think? To create the strand of lights I used Sinful Colors Calypso 1181, Eva So Bright 1258 (reddish), Pull Over 955 (yellow), Rise & Shine 940 (teal green), and Matte About Blue 1487.

Overall, it came out pretty close, didn’t it? Let’s see some more Nightmare Before Christmas inspired manis!

I can’t believe this is the second to last prompt for this challenge. I have had a great time creating nail art again! Would you like to see more nail art?
