Happy Sunday everyone! I have the last of the Orly Color Blast polish sets I picked up to show you today: the Batgirl nail polish collection. (If you missed Harley Quinn or Catwoman, please check out those reviews.) Will this be another fail like Harley Quinn or another winner like Catwoman? Read more to find out.
Nocturnal is a neon yellow highlighter creme polish. Formula on this was…umm, well my notes say “ICK”. haha! 😛 Formula was streaky and thin, almost chalky, and uneven; it dries matte. This is 3 coats and no top coat.
Caped Crusader is a glowing blue shimmer polish with pink-purple flakes. Formula on this was sheer; it dries matte. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Save the City – gosh, this is such a beautiful soft dove gray jelly polish! Formula on this was really lovely, it self-leveled nicely. This is 3 coats and no top coat.
Last is Gotham Noir, a dark purple jelly with blue shimmer. Formula on this wasn’t great. I had let it sit upside down because all the purple shimmer was at the bottom. Well, then that purple shimmer glommed up at the top. Formula is thin, and the shimmer is gritty. I did 3 coats plus top coat, but if you have shorties, you might get away with 2 coats.
So this is a soft pass from me. Save the City is such a great polish but it isn’t $12.99 great, if you know what I mean.
Nice swatches of each color. I like that grey creme a lot.
