Vapid Lacquer Cyber Punk versus Great Lakes Lacquer The Centre Cannot Hold

Purchased by Me buttonHappy Saturday everyone! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. Today I’m back with another comparison post! I discovered recently that I actually really enjoy doing these so if you have suggestions for comparison posts, please comment. Okay, but today I have Vapid Lacquer Cyber Punk versus Great Lakes Lacquer The Centre Cannot Hold. (I will be showing these off individually at a later date, just not today. Too many photos as it is!)

First some bottle shots! Cyber Punk seems more pink in the bottle than TCCH. TCCH seems to more easily shift in the bottle than CP. Now let’s take a look at each on the nail!

I’ve used 2 coats plus top coat of CP on my index and ring fingers; 3 thin coats plus top coat of TCCH is on my middle and pinky fingers.

TCCH seems to be more of a deeper pink-purple than CP.

They both seem about equal on the green shift front; in low light, more of an burnt orange comes through from TCCH, whereas CP has more of a blonde look.

CP seems to have more of a silvery purple holographic look on the nail, whereas TCCH has that deeper pink. CP had better coverage than TCCH.

So which one do I prefer? Wellllll….that’s a tough call. I like the formula better of Cyber Punk but I like the look of The Centre Cannot Hold better. If it came down to it, which would I pick? I’m going to have to go with TCCH. It just seems to have more of an extreme shiftiness to it than CP. Don’t get me wrong, CP still is shifty! But TCCH has more colors in the shift. Anyway, it’s just my opinion and you know what people say about those…. Let me know your thoughts in the comments or suggestions for comparison posts.
