Orly Angel Rain swatch + review

Purchased by Me buttonHi everyone! I have an interesting polish for you today: Orly Angel Rain. I picked this up at TJMaxx last year and finally got around to swatching it. I have a love/hate relationship with this polish, which I’ll get around to later in this post.

Angel Rain is a soft blue polish that shifts from purple to sea foam green to pink to deeper blue.

Formula on this was so thin & floody & sheer! PLUS it was hella brushstrokey. And I noticed it just didn’t want to dry at all. This is 3 coats and no t0p coat.

To be honest, I almost chucked this one into the giveaway pile because the formula is such a bummer. But, being a polishaholic, I didn’t. 😛 I just kept thinking how pretty it is on the nail and maybe, just maybe, I could salvage it somehow. Either that or I could commission an indie maker to duplicate it! haha! 😀 What do you think of this one?

  1. That is very pretty. I love the color shifts. I don’t like the brushstrokes. It almost needs a 4th coat though doesn’t it? I do love that color though.

  2. It looks so pretty! I wonder if it would look better if you sponged on the last coat? I have yet to try that with brushstroke-y polishes but a lot of people offer that as a solution. It could also look pretty layered over a darker polish.
