Honestly, I didn’t even keep a product list of my makeup today. All I know for sure that I used is the Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales palette, Urban Decay Perversion mascara, and Jordana Sweet Cream Matte in Buttercream Frosting.
For the most part of my adult life, I’ve shied away from using blue eyeshadow because I didn’t want to look clownish (or worse, like Mimi from the Drew Carey Show). But I specifically bought the Lorac DMTNT palette for the cool blue-toned shades it had. After the 3rd or 4th time I’ve used this palette, guess it’s time I got around to using those shades!
I started off with using NYX Milk as a sticky base. I then used Silver Mist on the lid in the inner corner, Starry Night next to it on the lid, and Menace on the outer corner. I blended that all into my crease, and then I added a bit more Starry Night into the crease and blended again. Lastly I added a bit of Ghostly to my arch.
I think by pairing this eye makeup look with toned down lips and overall toned down face, it really helps it not look dated.
Cheers to you and your weekend! After yesterday, I needed a bit of a relaxing day and so far so good. 🙂 (You can check out my current french manicure with roses nail art here.)
Blue looks so good on you. I am glad that everyone is more open to wearing colorful eyeshadow. I think that in the late 90s/early 2000’s, I was afraid to wear blue cause it was soooo 80’s frosty blue…flashbacks!
Right? I second guess myself every time I wear cool toned or blue toned shadows.
