CrowsToes Nail Color Between Rage and Serenity for October Polish Pickup Pack

Happy Thursday everyone! What’s so funny is that yesterday I thought it was Thursday all day long and now that it’s Thursday, it feels a bit repetitive. Like…I’ve already done this once this week, and now I gotta do it again? 😛 But it is one day closer to the opening of the October Polish Pickup Pack, and the theme for this month is Villians! Madame Crow at CrowsToes Nail Color picked Magneto for her inspiration and with a name like that, you’ve got to have a magnetic polish of course!

Between Rage and Serenity is described as a “burgundy gunmetal base with purple and red magnetic pigments.” There will be a cap of 75 polishes available this time around. It will be $12 and is available from October 5 through October 8 at Polish Pickup Pack.

I’m showing it here 2 coats (no top coat) without using the magnet. The formula is a bit thinner than CrowsToes usual formula but it isn’t runny; it’s just something I noted. It is incredibly shiny even without top coat.

This is showing with a third coat (no top coat) and magnetized. I wanted to use different magnets to see how this polish looked and performed. I think that the stronger neodymium magnets work best for this. I used the double-ended magnet from Lantern & Wren on the pointer (lines) and middle (flower) and a neodymium magnet on the ring and pinky. It was much easier to get a clear magnetic line with the stronger magnet.

I think that even if you aren’t really into magnetic polishes, you would enjoy this polish! Don’t forget to put this on your wish list!

Side note: my apologies for the silence this week. An old family friend was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident and the funeral was yesterday. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and ruminating over the last week and haven’t been in a blog writing place.
