butter LONDON Lucy in the Sky nail polish swatch + review

Phew, we’re making it closer to the end of the week! Yay 🙂 I dunno about you, but Thursdays always strike me as a “happy” day. Today I have butter LONDON Lucy in the Sky to show you!

Lucy in the Sky is a neutral base jelly polish with iridescent glitters.

This is 3 thin coats plus top coat. Formula was good – a little hard to maneuver on the nail because of the chunkiness of the glitters.

What’s strange is that for once, I prefer how a sparkly glitter polish looks inside instead of outside! For some reason, when the sun shone on this polish, the base overwhelmed the sparkle somehow! Oh well, for $4 from TJMaxx, you can’t complain too much. 😉

Polish ‘M Sugar Spun Plums + butter LONDON Bramble swirl nail art

Good Monday afternoon! Well, after a nap, I feel a lot more refreshed (amazing how actual sleep helps your body!), so I have Polish ‘M Sugar Spun Plums plus nail art with butter LONDON Bramble to show you.

Sugar Spun Plums is a glitter bomb polish with purple glitter, purple to gold flakes, and holographic sparkle. Plus a lotta other good stuff. This is a cousin to Polish ‘M Autumn’s Palette [previously swatched].

This is 3 thin coats and 2 coats of top coat as it dries slightly textured.

I then used cyclone vinyls and butter LONDON Bramble to create a trippy kind of look.

Seriously, don’t stare too long at this, it’s a little freaky. LOL. Unfortunately, Sugar Spun Plums is no longer available on PolishM.com, but keep an eye out for it. I picked up Bramble at TJMaxx for $4.

China Glaze S’more Fun + butter LONDON Frilly Knickers

Hello there, and thankfully (seriously) it’s Thursday. I had an awful day yesterday so I’m so glad it’s a new day. That being said, I have a pretty-ugly color on the blog today: China Glaze S’more Fun that I’ve paired with butter LONDON Frilly Knickers.

S’more Fun is an odd sort of green-yellow color. I’m not quite sure where the “s’more” part comes in, because if you ate s’mores this color, you’d not be having a fun time. I used 1 thin coat and 1 thick coat (and no top coat) here; formula was thin and runny.

I had butter LONDON Frilly Knickers sitting on my table, so I thought, “why not?” I don’t think S’more Fun was really helped by Frilly Knickers, but it wasn’t hurt!

This is 1 nice coat over S’more Fun with 1 coat of top coat. This is a really nice top coat from butter LONDON.

butter LONDON Bobby Dazzler + BBC Weekly Roundup

Happy Sunday to you! A quick post this morning with butter LONDON Bobby Dazzler and the Beauty Blog Coalition weekly roundup of beauty links.

Bobby Dazzler is an antique silver-gold chrome nail polish. This is 2 thin coats and no top coat. Like most chrome polishes, this is brush-strokey but otherwise the formula was good. Just make sure to let each coat dry before applying the next.

butter LONDON Two-Fingered Salute

Good morning lovely readers! How is your week going? I have to admit, it’s been a rough one around this household – not enough sleep and too short of tempers equals a pretty grumpy family. But, I have a gorgeous polish to show you, so let’s get to it!

butter LONDON Two-Fingered Salute was a purchase I made a few months back from TJ Maxx – it was $3.99, I believe! Talk about a nice score. 🙂

TFS is an olive-green based nail polish with rose-gold glitter. Application was a breeze, this is 2 easy coats with matte top coat and glossy top coat.

Re-Swatch Wednesday: Orly Boho Bonnet + butter LONDON Tart with a Heart

Hey hello Wednesday! Time for another edition of Re-Swatch Wednesday. Today we’re going to re-visit an old combo: Orly Boho Bonnet with butter LONDON Tart with a Heart (only click if you want to see embarrassing pictures of when I first started the blog!).

Orly Boho Bonnet is a very pretty blue-grey creme nail polish. It is slightly lighter in color than my photo shows. This is 3 coats with no top coat!

butter LONDON Tart with a Heart is one of my favorite top coats ever. Seriously complex and gorgeous topper.

I’ve used 1 coat over Boho Bonnet plus top coat for these photos. In the sun, you can really see the super pretty sparkle.

I’ve added a shade photo only to show you the complexity of this polish topper.
