Morning all! I hope you are ready for this day. I’m not sure I am but that’s what coffee is for, right? Today I’m going to show you ellagee Don’t You Dare Blink – it’s a Whovian polish so of course I had to buy it!
Don’t You Dare Blink is a clear base nail polish with glitters of silvers, TARDIS blue, periwinkle blue, grey, and white. It dries gritty but otherwise no complaint about formula. This is 3 coats plus top coat.

Hey there everythingone (wow, I’m seriously sleep-deprived right now). Today I have a new-to-me collaborative indie polish box to show you. See, there’s this place called Acetone Alley on Facebook, where you can get the latest gossip & dish about nail related subjects. It’s a pretty cool place but it can also be a little dangerous (especially if someone is caught being shady!). There’s also a dropbox where people can send questions/rants/etc anonymously; this is where the idea of anonymous makers (anonamaker) for this collab box comes from. At any rate, for awhile now (obviously since we’re on box #4), makers have been coming together with polishes featuring catch phrases that have originated in the group. I bought one of the first 10 (?) that were available for immediate shipping after they were shown off in the group and today starts the pre-order for the rest of the boxes. So – you’ve been warned – spoilers ahead!

Hey everyone! You might remember this Sephora by OPI from my soft + sweet gradient a few weeks back. I wanted to use it on its own because it’s just so pretty! I paired it with ellagee Punch a Higher Floor for some added punch. 😛

Good morning everyone! I haven’t had ellagee polish on here in a hot minute so it’s time I rectify that by showing you The Purple One and His Royal Badness. These two were part of a 5 piece collection honoring Prince. I’ll have a third from the collection to show you in a couple weeks as well.
The Purple One is a purple holographic polish that has been kissed by the sun – which is a fancy way of saying it has golden shimmer. 😛 It has a good consistency, but it is a bit patchy in application. It does dry matte. This is 2 coats plus top coat.
His Royal Badness is a purple jelly with golden flakes. This has a good consistency but was also patchy in application. This is 3 coats and no top coat.
Both of these are gorgeous, but I really adore The Purple One. And on that note, because these made me miss Prince so much, I’m gonna go jam out to some of his classics now. 😛

I started with a base of Sentimental Journey, which is the 3 year tribute polish for Drip Drop Nail Paint. (Gotta love milestones!) Then I protected my skin with Mani Mask and stamped with IG112 Plate from It Girl Nail Art and Yoga Pants. I had to make it look soft, so I topped it off with Heart of the Matter – my current go to matte top coat.
Does this mani show femininity and sass and fun? I hope I did Jessica proud and I hope she is enjoying her bonding time.

Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! Who else is excited for 2016 to be over? I mean, it’s been a crazy year in the world, but I know that personally it was a pretty good year. But still, I’m ready for a new year and exciting things (like a baby, hopefully soon!). I decided to do some sparkly nails for NYE, based on a mani I saw by BreezytheNailPolishLover on Facebook. I’ve used ILNP I See You, ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights, CrowsToes Nail Color Maxxed Out, and China Glaze Golden Enchantment.
ILNP I See You is a creamy champagne holographic polish.
Formula is fairly sheer, but it has a really nice holo flame without top coat. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
I then used ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights for a half-moon manicure. This is one of my older indie polishes, and it still performs great! It is also the blackest holographic polish I own (I believe).
Over MSRTN, I first used CrowsToes Nail Color Maxxed Out in a waterfall pattern, then China Glaze Golden Enchantment (which is a clear base with holographic specks).
You can tell my half-moons changed. Well, I wasn’t happy with them so I tried to make them deeper and they ended up looking like cat heads. Sigh. I try to do one simple mani and they end up looking strange. LOL. Now that I’ve seen cat heads, I can’t stop seeing them, either!
