So this isn’t my best attempt at an animal print, but my husband and kids guessed zebra and tiger prints when I asked. I guess it’s not that bad, then? Continue reading

Darling Diva Polish Rey, 2 coats [previously swatched]
Fancy Gloss Mystery Box Prototype 2016, holographic purple with blue shift
I loosely based this nail art look on something I saw from koba_nails_studio on instagram. I started with Rey; painted the Fancy Gloss on a piece of saran wrap. Then using a stamper, I smooshed it on the polish, then kept smooshing it over itself until most of it was pulled up (I hope this makes sense, I’m writing this late at night!). Then I applied it to the nail. I’m thinking either the base color should have been either lighter or darker. It was hard to really see the beauty of the Fancy Gloss.

I was taking photos today of my nails (as a blogger does) and looked down and saw how awesome my pedi looked so snapped a quick picture to share with you. If you hate feet, don’t click through to see them!

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Cry of the Red Sky [Hella Holo Customs Exclusive January 2016]
So I saw this tutorial from ketonails that I tried out, but she hadn’t given it a name and I didn’t know what to call it. I asked in Hobby Polish Bloggers and I kind of liked brushed fluid nail art and fluid marble so I kind of combined the names. I have no idea if that’s what this technique is actually called but let’s go with it. This was so shifty and beautiful in person – I should have taken a video!

Fancy Gloss Sodalite, 3 coats
Shleee Polish Cosmological, 2 coats plus top coat
This was my first attempt at a thermal + magnetic manicure match up and it didn’t work (I actually did this one before the thermal/magnetic drag marble nail art or the thermal/magnetic gradient nail art). But it is totally still pretty! Continue reading

This came out so sparkly and fun but I honestly like it with the matte top coat as well.

KBShimmer Oh Matte! 1 coat
So after using Under Our Tree, and receiving Tequila Sunrise Sparked in the same mail, I decided it was just crying out for some nail art together. I settled on a marbled mani and I adore the results!
Here’s what Under Our Tree looks like alone. This is 2 coats plus matte top coat.
And now with the marbled look! This is using a tutorial from instagram that I’ve utilized before. Continue reading
