12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge: Presents
Hi everyone! Quick posting here this morning. We had a rare snow day called yesterday (first time in 25 years) and so this morning I’m behind on my blogging and other work!
For today’s 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge prompt of presents, I started off with 2 coats of JulieG White Orchid. I then used Glitter Gal Cosmetics Dorothy’s Revenge with star stencils as a backdrop. Finally I used an unnamed JulieG minty green nail polish for my bows.
It isn’t my favorite look, but it isn’t too bad, is it? Let’s see the rest of the nail art for today:
I hope you are having a fairly pleasant week. Roads are crappy here (hence the snow day called for all schools yesterday) so I’m white-knuckling it while going anywhere. Does your area ever get snow days called?
12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge: Candy Cane
Hi everyone! Another day with the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge and this time the prompt is “candy canes”. Well, you should know by now that I do things a bit differently. I wanted to do a pinwheel type look with minty candy cane colors but it didn’t quite turn out.
I started out with 3 thin coats of Glitter Gal Cosmetics White Pointer. I then painted Glitter Gal Cosmetics Good On Ya and Bloke Chaser on a sponge to create a gradient over the pinwheel vinyls.
I think maybe if I had tried a radial gradient it would have turned out better? Or painted every other stripe red or green? I mean, I still like it, it’s just not very candy cane-ish. Now let’s turn to the other manis in the challenge:
Let me know what you think of today’s mani!
Glittery Skittlette Manicure with Glitter Gal Cosmetics + Esmaltes de Kelly
Hi everyone! Today I have a fun skittle manicure that I created with Glitter Gal Cosmetics Pink Sunnies, GGC She’ll Be Right, and Esmaltes de Kelly Hulk.
Pink Sunnies is just a really lovely bright pink creme polish, I’ve used 3 thin coats here plus top coat. She’ll Be Right is a deep and vampy purple.
Hulk is a dense deep green based glitter bomb with purple, green, blue, violet, and iridescent glitters. This is 3 coats here with a coat of Glitter Food and a coat of glossy top coat.
Although I very much love Hulk, I was disappointed with how bumpy it was, even after a glitter smoother top coat and a quick dry top coat. But it sure is pretty! 😀
I’d love to know what colors you would’ve paired with Hulk, so let me know in the comments below. 🙂
Holographic Dotticure Skittlette
Hey yo, all! I feel like the Fonz when I said that. 😀 I hope you are having a great day, and for this Monday morning I have a fun skittlette to show you.
I started with 2 coats of Glitter Gal Cosmetics Serpent Black on my pointer and pinky fingers, 2 coats of B Squared Lacquer Plur on my middle finger, and 3 thin coats of Reverie Nail Lacquer Mermaid Scales on my ring finger and thumb. The holographic dots on top of Serpent Black I created with Orly Mirrorball.
Mermaid Scales is a really lovely dense glitter bomb with blue and turquoise glitters and holographic finish. It was quite thick though, so I kind of struggled to do the thin coats.
Of course, I had to do some sun photos, right? This was such a fun & sparkly manicure to have on for awhile. What’s your favorite sparkly nail polish to slap on your nails?
Glitter Gal Navy I Will, Navy I Won’t swatch + review PLUS BBC Weekly Roundup
Good glorious Sunday to you! 🙂 Before we get into the weekly Beauty Blog Coalition round-up, I have the most gorgeous polish to show you from Glitter Gal Cosmetics: Navy I Will, Navy I Won’t.
Seriously, look at this beautiful beastie in the sunshine. Hubba, hubba, am I right?!
NIWNIW is a navy blue-green holographic nail polish. This is 2 coats plus top coat as it does dry slightly matte.
My sunshine was starting to go away when I took these outside photos, but hopefully you’re still able to see that beautimus holographic streak.
Best part of this polish? I picked it up from llarowe.com for $2! You can’t beat a drool-worthy polish at an awesome price! Holler at me in the comments – are you going to be looking for some Glitter Gal polishes now?
