Multichrome smooshy nail art with China Glaze and Great Lakes Lacquer

Great Lakes Lacquer O R’lyeh? [October 2017 Polish Pickup Pack], 2 coats plus top coat. This was almost a One-Coat Wonder. Freaking beautiful!

China Glaze Thataway, 2 coats plus top coat. Super thin.

I freaking loved this mani. Flashy and just brilliant. Just one of those manicures that makes you feel amazing while you’re wearing it. Is that a little silly, maybe? I don’t care. 😛 I painted the two colors next to each other on a piece of sandwich baggie, then smooshed it with a stamper and placed it on the nail.

Great Lakes Lacquer The Centre Cannot Hold nail polish swatch + review

Morning all! A few months ago, I showed you a comparison of Great Lakes Lacquer The Centre Cannot Hold versus Vapid Lacquer Cyber Punk. And I’ve shown you individual photos of Cyber Punk so I guess it’s high time I show you individual photos of The Centre Cannot Hold!

The Centre Cannot Hold is a holographic multichrome polish that shifts from pink to beige to green to orange to deeper pink to olive green to bronze to red. The main shift seems to be from pink to beige, though. 

Great Lakes Lacquer Fools Gold + The Quick-Witted Comedian nail polish swatches + review

Hi everyone! I’m currently kind of feeling a bit down about blogging – I’m sure it’ll pass (it always does), but I’m kind of just feeling like I stink. LOL! Don’t get me wrong, I work hard at swatching and editing and writing up these posts but sometimes it just gets to feel like I’m talking to myself. So before you leave, say hi, would you? Because I really treasure those comments that you leave – even if I don’t always get a chance to respond right away.

Anyway – I have two polishes from Great Lakes Lacquer to show you this morning: Fools Gold and The Quick-Witted Comedian.

Fools Gold is a gold based holographic nail polish with bits of pink/peach.

Formula has an okay consistency and it applies sheer; it dries matte. This is 3 coats plus top coat.

The Quick-Witted Comedian is a teal polish with silver shimmer and blue iridescent flakes. This had a good consistency and it applied a bit sheer; it was kind of stinky (I’m guessing due to pigments). This is 2 coats plus top coat. 

I really like Fools Gold, I think it would really look great as a topper for a bit of extra sparkle!

Vapid Lacquer Cyber Punk versus Great Lakes Lacquer The Centre Cannot Hold

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. Today I’m back with another comparison post! I discovered recently that I actually really enjoy doing these so if you have suggestions for comparison posts, please comment. Okay, but today I have Vapid Lacquer Cyber Punk versus Great Lakes Lacquer The Centre Cannot Hold. (I will be showing these off individually at a later date, just not today. Too many photos as it is!)

First some bottle shots! Cyber Punk seems more pink in the bottle than TCCH. TCCH seems to more easily shift in the bottle than CP. Now let’s take a look at each on the nail!
