Mentality Battle swatch + review PLUS BBC Weekly Round Up

Hey there readers! Are you having a fantastic weekend so far? Are you used to the fact that it’s August-racing-toward-September yet? I’m NOT! LOL. Today I have a really pretty polish from Mentality to show you that was a gift from my friend Steph at Imperfectly Painted: Battle. First, I just love the name because it fits so nicely with the polish color. It conjures up fierceness to me. Weird how polish does that, right?

I’ve used two coats of polish with one coat of top coat, as it dried sort of satiny.

Outside it was hard to capture the holographic sparkle of this polish, but I tried! LOL.

Sideways French with Mentality Kindness and China Glaze Queen B

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a great morning. Today I have a fun and simple NOTD to show you!

I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Queen B, one of my favorite polishes! It’s just dark and vampy and delicious (yeah…I said it…delicious!).

I then used one coat of A Girl Obsessed Rarity on part of the nail, and the other part I used a french manicure guide and Mentality Kindness. (Please note: I no longer support Mentality Nail Polish, if you’d like more information about this, please read my open Facebook post.)

It was nice to pull out some of my “old” nail polishes and put them together in a manicure. I really don’t think I’ll ever get tired of Rarity, to be honest with you!

I hope you are getting ready for the Easter weekend (if you celebrate). My kids have their Easter break coming up and I don’t think I’m ready for that! 😛 Plus all I heard about today is that April Fools’ Day is tomorrow and I should watch out. LOL.

I’m not much into pulling pranks, so you won’t see anything on the blog about it tomorrow….are you into pulling pranks? What’s the best one you’ve ever done?

Ninja Polish Hydra with Mentality Kindness

Good morning lovelies! I hope you had an incredible weekend. 🙂 I had sick kiddos (continued today, yay) so my hope is that your weekend was really awesome so I can be jealous. 😛 For Manicure Monday today, I have what I think is a really pretty nail polish combination: Mentality Kindness with Ninja Polish Hydra. (Please note: I no longer support Mentality Nail Polish, if you’d like more information about this, please read my open Facebook post.)

Let’s start off with my base: Mentality Kindness. I’ve reviewed this on the blog before, but it’s always nice to have updated swatches.

Kindness is a blackened holographic polish that shifts from turquoise to blue to purple. I’ve used two flawless coats plus top coat for these photos. I just love how different Kindness looks inside, in shade, and in full sun.

Dots and Stripes Nail Art

Good morning, wonderful readers! Today I have a fun nail art look to show you, inspired by the polishes that were just sitting around on my nail desk.

*Programming Note* I had quite a few polishes & nail art looks I wasn’t able to show you in 2015, so I’ll be trying to get those posted over the next couple of weeks. 

I’ve used OPI Alpine snow with Mentality Black Holo (matte) on my pointer finger, ALIQUID Lacquer The Skeleton’s Ring with Mentality Sailor on my middle and ring fingers, and Indigo Bananas Grave Importance on my pinky.

I’m honestly not sure what I was going for here, but I like the end result. What do you think?

Mentality Climax swatches + review

Geometric Nail Art with ALIQUID Lacquer Corpse de Ballet

Good morning, and hello reader! I am so excited to show you this nail art today. I was inspired by Love. Varnish, chocolate and more… and while mine isn’t near as perfect as hers, I still love it!

I started off with 2 coats of ALIQUID Lacquer Corpse de Ballet. This is such a perfectly soft and perfect pink, even I love it! Those grey specks are so pretty.

I then used OPI Skating on Thin Ice-land and Mentality Hard Candy to create triangles.

12 Days of Christmas Nail Art: Ice Blue and White + Ellagee ELL-sa review

Good morning, and thank goodness it’s Tuesday. Monday = sucky and that’s all I have to say about that! I have much pretty to show you today, so let’s get right to it!

For today’s prompt of “ice blue and white colors,” I just knew that I had to start with a new polish, ellagee’s ELL-sa, an ice blue holographic polish with violet flashes. This is one gorgeous polish!

I just wish I could’ve done this yesterday when there was sun instead of last night. Ugh!

I then decided to use Mentality Sailor (dark blue), and Mentality Carol (mid blue with blue flash) with ELL-sa as a gradient:

I seriously love this gradient so much, I was nervous to do any nail art over it! But…I gathered up my courage and went for it. I saw a cake design a long time ago, and it had these kind of designs with swirls (in traditional white, green, and red). I’ve used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Pur Rouge for the details.

Those are supposed to be holly leaves & berries, in case you were wondering, and a couple of sweet birdies. Be sure to check out more ice blue & white nail art looks at the inlinkz!
