Model City Polish Fall in Love nail polish swatch + review

Purchased by Me buttonMorning everyone! I’m back again with another autumn appropriate nail polish: Model City Polish Fall in Love.

Fall in Love is a pink-tinged burgundy with scattered holographic effect and holographic copper glitters. This had a great consistency and was just simply beautiful. This is 2 coats plus top coat.

I’m still sad about MCP not being around anymore, she made some beautiful polishes!

Model City Polish SB 34 and SB 33 nail polish swatches + review

Purchased by Me buttonMorning all! Boy yesterday was a long freaking day – cleaning and organizing and laundry, laundry, laundry. Don’t ask what got into me, I have no idea! But most of the laundry is done, thank goodness, I just have my own to do. Now though, let’s take a look at a couple of small batch polishes from Model City Polish – SB 34 & 33.

SB 34 is a lightly tinted brown (my notes say) clear-base polish with glitters of gold, bronze, black, and a reddish brown (I think?). Glitters came out even, it dries satin. This is 3 coats plus top coat.

SB 33 is a beautiful green base polish with golden shimmer and glitters of purple and bright green. This had a good consistency but was sheer; it dries satin. This is 3 coats plus top coat.

I’m sorry to say that Model City Polish is no longer! Hopefully though you can find her polishes in destash sales because she really put out some unique finishes. Which of these two is your favorite?

Model City Polish Nemesis, Electric Lemonade, Purple Dragon swatches + review

Purchased by Me buttonGood Monday morning everyone! I hope you are having a great one. 🙂 I haven’t even had coffee yet this morning, so I’m kinda rushing this post! 😛 I have 3 pretty polishes from Model City Polish to show you: Nemesis, Electric Lemonade, and Purple Dragon.

Nemesis is already a favorite of mine (check out this skittlette mani in case you missed it!). This is a mossy green holographic nail polish with pink specks. Shown here in 2 coats with top coat.

Electric Lemonade is *such* an amazing polish, I think my next pedicure needs to use it. LOL! It isn’t as purple leaning in real life, but it is bright and yummy! This is 3 coats with top coat.

Model City Polish Purple Dragon | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Last is Purple Dragon, a polish that my camera hated! I just could not get a good photo to save my life. But I did try! It definitely leans more purple in real life, not so blue as my photos. The last shot is outside and it really shows how “glowy” this polish can be. It was a bit patchy in application, I needed 3 coats for evenness, plus top coat.

Unfortunately, none of these are currently available through the Model City Polish shop, but hopefully you can find them secondhand! But be sure to head over to her store to see her spring pretties. 😉

Let me know which of these polishes is your favorite, I’d love to know!

Model City Polish Latte + Dark Roast swatches + review

Purchased by Me buttonGood morning everyone! I must apologize for my absence again. I’ve been feeling so poorly lately that basically I’m up in the morning and then I take a nap just to feel better. Ugh! Consequently, swatching polishes is kind of low on the list of priorities right now…but I have so many pretties to show you that I’m kind of jumping at the chance to write posts up.

Well, I’ve been wanting to show you two more gorgeous polishes from Model City Polish and here they are: Latte and Dark Roast.

Model City Polish Latte | Be Happy And Buy Polish

MCP Latte is described as “a light nude brown color with a soft holographic shimmer.”

I’ve used 3 coats for Latte, the formula seemed a bit thick, so I used thin coats for full coverage. My sun shots also seem to have come out a bit more green-tinged than the polish actually was.

Model City Polish Dark Roast | Be Happy And Buy Polish

MCP Dark Roast is described as “a dark smoke brown holographic blend with a gold fleck shimmer.”

The formula on Dark Roast was a bit thin, but not “out of control, flood yer cuticles” thin. I’ve used 2 coats for full coverage here.

I really have to say that I like both of these, especially Latte – I don’t think I have a similar polish in my collection to it. The great news is that both of these are still available in the MCP shop, so get over there and pick these up!

I’d love to know what you think of these polishes, so drop me a line below. I do have some exciting polish collections to show you from great makers like Finger Lickin’ Lacquer, ellagee, Barielle, and Renaissance Cosmetics so stay tuned!

Model City Polish Strawberry Jam + PB+J swatches + review

Purchased by Me buttonGood morning all you wonderful readers! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. Today I have a couple Model City Polish polishes to show you, so let’s get to it!

Model City Polish Strawberry Jam | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Model City Polish Strawberry Jam is pretty much exactly what the name suggests: a strawberry colored jam (aka jelly) polish. It also has small iridescent hexes.

Model City Polish Strawberry Jam macro | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Though I like this one, it’s just a bit too sheer for me and I couldn’t get the hexes to spread evenly. Next time I use it, I’ll probably layer it over another similar color.

Model City Polish PB+J | Be Happy And Buy Polish

PB&J is also a jelly, with a grape colored (I almost said flavored, haha!) base and iridescent hexes of different sizes. My photos really show this more blue than it is but it really is the perfect grape color.

I found that the hexes in this one spread out more evenly than Strawberry Jam. And yes, this is just as sheer as SJ, but the hexes make up for it, to me. They really make this one sparkle so nicely!

I’d love to know what you think of either of these polishes, which one is your favorite? Neither of these is currently available from MCP, unfortunately, but I’m sure you could find them from re-sellers!

Coming up this week on the blog: Barielle’s spring polishes (oh so pretty), and some Pahlish swatches (Doctor Who themed!). I’ll see you later,
