Halloween Nail Art Challenge: Classic Orange & Black
Ahh, good morning to you, my fine friends! π Today is the first day of the Halloween Nail Art Challenge and the prompt for today is a fairly easy one: classic orange and black.
I started off with two coats of NYC New York Color Animal Instinct, and then I just decided to free hand stripes with NYC New York Color Black Elixir. It didn’t come out too shabby, did it?

What do you think? To tell the truth, I’m really glad the first two prompts are easy because I’m feeling awful! LOL! I hope you have a great day, and I’ll see you tomorrow for “pumpkin faces”!

5 Simple Nail Art Manicures with NYC New York Color City Samba collection
*Phew*! That’s a mouthful, isn’t it? Good morning, you wonderful readers. As the title of this post states, I have 5 simple nail art manicures that I created with the NYC New York Color City Samba collection (reviewed here). Let’s get right to it!
First up is a simple gradient with NYC New York Color Sweet Melon and Tropicoral. I first painted my nails with Sweet Melon, let dry, then painted a small, porous, flat sponge with Sweet Melon and Tropicoral and applied it on my nails.
Next is diagonal stripes with NYC New York Color Tropicoral and Jacaranda Flower. Again, I started off with Tropicoral on all my nails. I waited for that to thoroughly dry before applying cut up chevron strips from Nail Vinyls to each nail. Then I applied a thick coat of Jacaranda Flower and quickly pulled off the strips.
NYC New York Color Jacaranda Flower and Amazon Green are next! I started off with Jacaranda Flower on all my nails. Then using the straw technique (tutorial here), I applied Amazon Green. I did not use top coat for this manicure.
Next is NYC New York Color Amazon Green and Palm on the Beach. Amazon Green is the base color, and I used the saran wrap technique to apply Palm on the Beach.
Lastly is a dotticure with NYC New York Color Palm on the Beach and Sweet Melon. The base is Palm on the Beach, and I’ve used a toothpick dipped in Sweet Melon to create the misshapen dots.
I hope you enjoy all 5 of these simple manicures! My favorite is probably the gradient, but I want to hear which of these is your favorite! Let me know in the comments. π Until tomorrow,
Summer Time Nail Art Challenge: Garden/Butterflies
Good morning everyone! I hope you are doing great. π I’m just going to jump right in, because I’m so excited to show you my nail art today. I was inspired by art nouveau for today’s prompt.

The other polishes used were: OPI Planks a Lot, I’ve Got the Blues for Red; SOPI Why Yellow There, Caught with My Khakis Down; Sinful Colors Calypso and Lavander; NYC Sweet Melon; Revlon Stormy Night; China Glaze Refreshmint.
I have to tell you, I’m really happy with how this turned out, though it took forever! Let’s take a look at everyone else’s creative manicures:
Thanks so much for stopping by, I’d love to hear your thoughts on my manicure today. π Until the next time,
