Nail Polish Roulette

On tiktok and instagram reels, there’s this fun fashion roulette where the account metaphorically spins the wheel to end up on an outfit. Well, I thought it would be fun to do this with nail polish!

Here’s the six polishes I used:

Sweet & Sour Lacquer Limón, 2 coats and no top coat

LA Colors Cosmetics Neon Jelly Electric Lime, 3 coats and no top coat

Simple magnetic plaid nail art with KBShimmer, Sinful Colors, and Pahlish

Polishes used:
Pahlish The Good Dalek, 3 coats plus top coat. Formula was a little thick, but I prefer it that way. I was concerned flakies would stick up but happily, they didn’t!
KBShimmer Let’s Do Launch, 3 coats plus top coat. Formula was a little thick, but I’m okay with that. (See above.)
Sinful Colors Unicorns R Real 2411, 2 coats plus top coat. Formula was a bit thick and it applied unevenly.

Man, I just can’t get enough of magnetic polishes. I think this is my 9th magnetic mani within a week and half? 😀 Fair warning, there’s a ton of pictures today! Oh, I forgot, I took inspiration from this mani by nailsjustnailss.

I’ve been playing around with how I use the magnet with these magnetic polishes. With this mani, I hit the edge of the nail with the magnet, then went in at an angle by the knuckle.

Pahlish Black Lace Elderberry + Bad Bitch Polish Witches Britches manicure

Polishes used:
Pahlish Black Lace Elderberry, 2 coats plus top coat.
This applied a little gloopy but there was good coverage.
Bad Bitch Polish Witches Britches, 2 coats plus top coat.
This was more jelly than I expected, but self-leveled well.

Black Lace Elderberry was a polish I wanted for a long time, it just always looked so pretty in swatches. Then I got it and used it and was just “meh”. Not the fault of the polish, it just didn’t click!

I talked to you about how I was feeling on Sunday and I guess that feeling hasn’t gone away. My kids still want to do the annual random acts of kindness in honor of my mom; to be honest, I don’t feel like doing it. I wanna stay at home and eat my feelings and not change out of my pajamas. But I’m gonna buck up and do it for my kids. And then maybe tonight, I’ll sit with a piece of cheesecake and some wine and just cry.

Halloween nail art manicures

I know, I know. Halloween has come and gone. And I would have had this post up on Halloween or before but I’ll be honest, I’ve really been struggling with anxiety this week and being seriously stressed and overwhelmed (still am 😦 ). So blogging took a backseat (thank you, past me for scheduling a ton of posts ahead of time) while I’ve been trying to sort myself out. I’m not completely sorted out (who is these days anyway?) but I wanted to sit down and show you the manicures I’ve had on my hands over the last couple of weeks leading up to Halloween. I’ve done a blood drip manicure, a disappearing/reappearing manicure, and a Frankenstein themed manicure. A copious amount of pictures ahead 😉

Pahlish grey mystery nail polish swatch + review

Morning all! Today I have a grey flakie mystery polish that I picked up from Pahlish like….I dunno, forever ago. I’m slacking at getting polishes on the blog in a timely manner lately. Oops.

This is a grey polish (derp, I said that already) with multicolored flakes. It applied like a jelly polish, and had a good consistency. This is 2 coats and no top coat.

I dunno, there’s something classy about this polish, don’t you think?
