Scofflaw Nail Varnish Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her Kiss Her swatch + review

So every time I read the name of this Scofflaw Nail Varnish – I think of that scene in Little Mermaid where Scuttle is trying to sing to Eric & Ariel, except I imagine him screaming at Eric, “KISS HER! KISS HER!” in his adorable warble. Needless to say, it cracks me up!

Seagulls Screaming Kiss Her, Kiss Her is a dusty blue polish with scattered holographic effect, blue and purple flakes. Formula is thin and sheer; it dries matte. This is 3 coats plus top coat.

Since I’ve been in the mood for blues lately, this is definitely a keeper for me. Do you like it?

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Dust Bunny + Heather’s Hues Killer Costume Party layered manicure

Hi everyone! I hope you are planning on having a good day – or have already had a good day. Today I have a layered manicure with Scofflaw Nail Varnish Dust Bunny and Heather’s Hues Killer Costume Party.

Dust Bunny is a purple-pink polish with red flakes and green shimmer (which was super camera shy). This was a group custom for the Love Letter to Scofflaw Facebook group. Formula was thin and sheer but build able. This is 2 coats and no top coat.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Radioactive Mermaid swatch + review

Morning all! I’m still working through a lot of my older swatches from earlier this year, so today I have to show you Scofflaw Nail Varnish Radioactive Mermaid.

Radioactive Mermaid is a bright minty green with color shifting chrome flakies. Formula was a bit watery. This is 3 thin coats plus top coat.

I love Scofflaw and I do like the color here but I have to admit that the formula wasn’t my favorite – but I do admit to liking a bit thicker of a formula. So your mileage may vary! I think there will be a restock soon, but I’m not sure exactly when. What do you think of this polish?

ellagee Burnished Skies versus Scofflaw Varnish Diamond Dogs

Hi everyone! I know I promised to have more posts this week but alas, this “morning” sickness isn’t going away any time soon. I’m trying, I promise! (Currently typing this while wanting to puke on my keyboard. ) But I went through my photos and I did have this comparison post between ellagee Burnished Skies and Scofflaw Nail Varnish Diamond Dogs ready to go.

ellagee Burnished Skies was a fb group custom from a few months ago. This is a turquoise green crelly with bronze, gold, and color shifting flakies. I used 3 thin coats plus top coat.

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Diamond Dogs is from the Spring ’16 collection, I believe. This is described as “a vivid sky blue polish with gold and bronze flakes and finished off with a delicate violet shimmer.” I used 3 thin coats plus top coat. Formula was a bit watery.

Where Burnished Skies has a much more green base, Diamond Dogs base is much more blue. The flakies are also very different in the two polishes – Burnished Skies is copper, Diamond Dogs is more gold and bronze.

Burnished Skies was a fb group custom, as I said, and is no longer available. But you should join the fb group anyway! Diamond Dogs is still available from Scofflaw Nail Varnish as of this writing.

Hopefully I can get my ass in gear this weekend and get some posts written up! I do miss blogging – it really is my creative outlet to write and paint my nails. I hope you have a great weekend!

Easter Manicure with Pretty Serious Cosmetics + Polish ‘M

Happy Easter all, if you celebrate! And if you don’t, well, happy Sunday! 🙂 Today I went a little non-traditional for my Easter manicure. Read on for more details!

I started with 2 perfect coats of Pretty Serious Cosmetics Gloomy Kitty on my thumb, index, and pinky. On my middle and ring fingers, I used 3 thin coats of Polish ‘M Spring Prototype 23.

Spring Prototype 23 is a lovely white crelly mix, glitters of all sorts of sizes and colors. Shown above with matte top coat and below with shiny top coat.

Though I loved the manicure, I thought I could improve on it. Sigh…why didn’t I leave well enough alone?

So using a Polished Vino swirly decal and loose glitter from KBShimmer, I decided to go for a flower & vine look. I don’t think it turned out how I wanted, unfortunately. What do you think?

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Amoeba Jam + Tardigrade Candy swatch + review

Afternoon everyone! So far so good today, how about you? I have a duo from Scofflaw Nail Varnish this afternoon: Amoeba Jam and Tardigrade Candy.

Amoeba Jam is a taupe creme with some beautiful shimmer that warms it right up. This is 2 coats plus top coat; the formula was very smooth.

Tardigrade Candy is a clear-base glitter topper purple, black, orange, and hot red.

This is 1 coat over Amoeba Jam and no top coat. I had no troubles getting the glitter pieces out.

This is currently not in stock at Scofflaw Nail Varnish, sorry! 😦 But they do have an upcoming restock on February 26, so go look and see what will be available!

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Fluffy Bunny Battle + BBC Weekly Roundup

Morning! It’s been a weird week, weather-wise, here and I’m ready for the weather to make up its mind. It’s been near zero, blowing cold snow, and then it warms up and makes everything slick. I’m ready for it to be warm or cold (okay not really), just pick one! Anyway – a nail polish that reminds me of cold weather is Scofflaw Nail Varnish Fluffy Bunny Battle!

Fluffy Bunny Battle is a light blue based crelly polish with various sized hexes of robin’s egg blue, white, pink, and teal; a dash of fine blue shimmer permeates the polish as well.

Formula on this is a bit thin but not unmanageable. This is 2 coats plus top coat. I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did! This is currently not in stock at Scofflaw Nail Varnish but you can sign up to receive the newsletter when polishes are re-stocked.
