Magnetic stripe manicure with Shleee Polish, Polish ‘M, Jessica Cosmetics

Polishes used:
Shleee Polish Area X, 3 coats plus top coat. Slightly sheer but this is a beyond gorgeous magnetic polish!
Polish ‘M Tip Tau-pe Through the Tulips, 3 coats
Jessica Cosmetics Starfish Glow, 3 coats plus top coat

Anyone else having their kids drive them crazy already this summer, or am I just that special? 😛 I love my kids but goodness gracious this summer might just kill me.

This is how I started off this manicure and the more I looked at it, the more I realized something felt off. I just needed a bit more extra.

Fancy Gloss Sodalite + Shleee Polish Cosmological thermal and magnetic mani

Fancy Gloss Sodalite, 3 coats
Shleee Polish Cosmological, 2 coats plus top coat

This was my first attempt at a thermal + magnetic manicure match up and it didn’t work (I actually did this one before the thermal/magnetic drag marble nail art or the thermal/magnetic gradient nail art). But it is totally still pretty!

Shleee Polish Stereotomy magnetic nail polish swatch + review

Polish used:
Shleee Polish Stereotomy, 3 coats plus top coat. This had good magnetic properties, and a good formula. It didn’t wear very well on me though, which makes me uber sad. 😦

This polish though. I freaking love it.

Magnetic and thermal flame drag marble nail art with Shleee Polish and Don Deeva

Polishes used:
Shleee Polish Annihilation, chameleon chrome magnetic polish
Don Deeva Cardiac Arrest’ed [previously swatched], purple when cold to teal when warm thermal polish

I’ve been in a bad place lately with my anxiety and even though my nails are at a really nice length (*knock on wood*), I haven’t felt like painting my nails at all. I almost had an anxiety attack the other night because I couldn’t decide on what to use to paint my nails. That’s something I really hate about anxiety – the freaking out about stupid – absolutely stupid & pointless – shit. I’ve barely left the house because crowds give me anxiety as well as just general anxiety about being out in public.

Anyway, in a group I’m in on Facebook (Magnetic Polish Lovers), Christine (@shortywhatwhat) shared a mani where she layered a clear to purple thermal with a magnetic polish. I thought it was such a nifty idea and tried it with a clear to blue thermal and a different Shleee Polish (that mani will be coming soon) and it didn’t turn out. I really wanted this concept to work so I decided to experiment a little bit and found out a combo that worked in some flame drag marble nail art. I almost used Don Deeva Box Office Bitch – which I may use in a different thermal magnetic mani combo.
