So a few days ago, I went retail shopping as therapy to try to cheer myself up. It didn’t really work but I did pick up quite a few new makeup items, including three items I’ve used in this look: No Photos Please eyeshadow palette, Milani Luminous Light Highlighter, and Lottie London Holo Duo Chrome Lip Lacquer.

This palette I picked up at TJ Maxx because the colors seemed so rich. Two of the colors were quite patchy: My Moment and Back Exit. Publicist, Jealous of Success, No Comment, Adoration, and SuperTrash all seem to apply kind of flaky.

I’m showing you swatches in natural light and sunlight. They are quite sparkly in the sun!

As well as using Revlon Kahjal I used Black Bean and smudged it on my lower lash area and on my eyelid, then smudged Adoration over it. I also used Discrete under my brow.

This Lottie London was picked up at Ulta as well. I’m not sure if it’s new or what, it felt like it was kind of tucked in the back in a forgotten display. There were a few other lip products and other makeup products with it. This doesn’t have a lip gloss feel to it (which I hate!) and after the glossy part goes away with wear, you’re left with the pretty green sheen.

The base color is very close to my own lip color, which left me a little disappointed because I wanted a bit more brown. It also is fairly sheer.

The Milani highlighter I also picked up at Ulta for 50% off. I mean, it isn’t like I need another highlighter but it was so pretty!

I wasn’t up to doing a full face today, so I just did my eyes, my lips, and applied just a touch of the highlight. I do have some pigmentation on my face (especially around my mouth area) and uneven skin tone that makes me nervous to go without a full face of makeup, but I don’t think my look came out too bad today!
