Morning all! Can you believe it’s June?! Holy crud. My kids are done with school this week and I can’t believe it. I’m not ready for this, to be honest. I have no idea what to do with them all summer long. Chuck them outside and let them fend for themselves? 😛 Anyway how about two pretty polishes from Pretty & Polished: Candy Kiss and Lavendarling?
Candy Kiss is a pale pink holo with holographic bits. I believe this is a thermal that changes to grey when cold. This has a good consistency but dries gritty. This is 2 coats and no top coat. Oh, I just remembered I’ve used it before in some nail art!
Lavendarling is also a thermal polish! In its warm state, it is a darker blurple polish, in its warm state it is the lavender you see. Formula on this is thin and sheer; it dries gritty and matte. This is 2 coats plus top coat.
These are both nice offerings from Pretty & Polished! I don’t believe either are available currently but P&P did recently come out with a new collection, so head to their store to check new polishes out!
Morning everyone! Another Wednesday is here – yay? LOL! 😛 Today I have two polishes from Pretty & Polished to show you: Her Majesty, Royal Purple and Brisky Business.
Her Majesty, Royal Purple [gift] is a blue-tinged purple polish. Formula was wonderful, it goes on evenly and dries matte. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Brisky Business is from the Winter 2016 collection [my partial review]. This is a blurple based shimmer polish that shifts from purple to blue with a tinge of red, with color shifting flakes. Formula was a bit thin; it does dry matte. This is 1 coat plus top coat over HMRP. (Please excuse the huge chip in my bottle, Mrs Butterfingers over here.)
Though I was expecting a bit more from Brisky Business, it still is a gorgeous polish – well both of them are, to be honest!
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. Today I have a polish for you that is a charity polish that Pretty & Polished put out last year called No One Fights Alone. The proceeds of this polish went to help raise money for P&P Cancer Care Program.
No One Fights Alone is a pale lime green base polish with green and UCC flakes. I found the formula to be thin and sheer but build able. In regular light this is not so bright, it is much darker. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
I love when makers give back to their own communities or causes that they believe in – it makes me want to support those indie makers even more. Do you know of other makers who raise money for causes close to their heart?
Well, how was everyone’s Valentine’s day? Do you celebrate and whoop it up or do you ignore completely? To be honest, if my husband and I didn’t have kids we would probably ignore it completely since our anniversary is at the beginning of this month. Slightly related (not really), I have Pretty & Polished Valentino and Not Enough Claritin in the World to show you today.
Pretty & Polished Valentino [gift from maker] is a clear based black and white glitter topper. I found this to be a little base heavy but application was smooth. This is 1 coat plus top coat over Morgan Taylor Beach Babe.
Pretty & Polished Not Enough Claritin in the World is a white based crelly polish with neon glitters of yellow, pink, orange, blue, green. The base is a bit watery so application was sheer. I got a good amount of glitters out on the brush but it was almost hard to get enough base out because of the glitters. It also clumped up on the nail but that is probably partially my fault for not letting each coat dry well enough. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Even though application was tricky, I still like NECITW because of how pretty it is! What are your thoughts?
So I had a post all ready for today, typed up and everything. And then somehow, it disappeared. No trace of it except that I had uploaded the pictures. Since I was starting over anyway, I decided to replace the post with this mani that I wore a couple of weeks ago with Pahlish Just Like the Setting Sun and Pretty & Polished Smoke & Mirrors.
So last week I showed you a smoosh nail art manicure in which I used a whole bunch of polishes, including two that I used in this beachy manicure: China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic and Dreamland Lacquer A Wedding Dress That Isn’t Bright Turquoise. I also used Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Homeward Sound and Pretty & Polished Sand in My Crack for today’s manicure.
I started off with Rodeo Fanatic on my middle, ring, and pinky fingers. It’s got a lovely shiftiness going on that is to die for! Formula was a little thin, and can be draggy – make sure you let each coat dry. This is 3 coats and no top coat. Continue reading
