Polishes used:
Celestial Cosmetics Saphira, previously swatched
Fancy Gloss Twinkle Lights
CrowsToes Nail Color Her Goose Got Iced
This came out so sparkly and fun but I honestly like it with the matte top coat as well.

Polishes used:
Celestial Cosmetics Saphira, 3 thin coats plus top coat
This was thin and was more sheer than I expected.
Polishes used:
Celestial Cosmetics Are You Mooning Me? 2 coats plus top coat. Formula was a bit thin but covered beautifully.
Polish ‘M Shamrock, 2 coats (umm, how could I not use this for a St. Patrick’s Day mani?). Formula was a bit thick but again, it covered beautifully and leveled nicely.
Baroness X Oz
Okay, I just couldn’t wait to show this off because I really love how it turned out! I used this tutorial from kombucha_witch_. I’m going to have to practice with this technique because it’s really nifty! I bought Are You Mooning Me? all because of Tanya’s swatches. It looked so amazing on her, I just had to buy it. And I’m so glad I did! I literally cannot stop staring at my nails. 😛
Polishes used:
Celestial Cosmetics Cheap Distraction
Fancy Gloss Feeling Vampy
Cheap Distraction is freaking amazeballs and you should find it and buy it.
Polishes used:
Octopus Party Nail Lacquer Crepuscular, 3 coats plus top coat. This was a thick formula but applied sheer.
Celestial Cosmetics Daria Zaldrizoti, 3 thin coats plus top coat. This was a thin formula but didn’t flood my nails.
Polished Vino Raindrops Keep Falling
Current mani! I wasn’t too sure about it at first but the way Daria Zaldrizoti looks in all angles really is selling it for me. 😀
So this was originally going to be my Valentine’s Day post but after I wrote up the post and scheduled it, it literally disappeared into the ether. 😦 Which made me super frustrated and angry. So I decided to just show it to you at a later date! Let’s check out this soft and sweet gradient with Celestial Cosmetics LE May 2016, Lilypad Lacquer Nice As Spice, Sephora by OPI Ruby Without a Cause, and The Don Deeva Varnish Pony on Acid [gift].
I started off with 2 coats and no top coat of Celestial Cosmetics LE May 2016. Formula is a little thin and sheer but otherwise okay. Continue reading
Good morning everyone. Today is a quick post to remind you that it’s the anniversary of my mom’s death and that on social media today I’ll be posting the random acts of kindness my children and I will be performing in her honor. I’ve talked about my mom before (and memories of Almond Roca) and about the RAOK Day if you care to read through these posts. This is last year’s manicure.
I’m finding it harder and harder as the years go by to remember my mom – well certainly not her in a general sense but in a specific sense – the feel of her face, her voice, her laugh, the way she would hug me and tell me to hold my babies tight. So each year as her anniversary comes up, I try even harder to honor her and the lessons she taught me – as a mom, wife, and human being. Each year on this anniversary, my kids and I go throughout our city performing random acts of kindness as a way to honor her. I’m also finally getting a memorial tattoo this year! If you’re able to join us, please do so – take a pic and share it on ig or Facebook with the hashtag #RAOK4Lucy. Continue reading
