ALIQUID Lacquer Toad-ally Copper nail polish swatch + review [Facebook group custom]

Hi there, my most handsome and pretty lacquer fiends! Today I have a polish from ALIQUID Lacquer that was the first Facebook group custom called Toad-ally Copper.

Toad-ally Copper is a warm green creme nail polish with undertones of blue; hexes of green, gold, copper shoot through this polish. My pictures show it slightly cooler than it is in real life.

This is 2 lovely coats plus top coat. Seriously wonderful formula here!

Hi everyone! I have a huge post today so let’s jump right in. I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorite indie polishes that I showed on the blog in 2015 but I finally got it down to 20…p.s. *phew!

ALIQUID Lacquers Old Dog, New Tricks swatch + review

Good morning all! I have a super pretty polish for today’s post from ALIQUID Lacquer, called Old Dog, New Tricks. This is AL’s anniversary polish to celebrate her 2 year anniversary in business.

Old Dog, New Tricks is a “holographic base with magenta and blue microflakies, fuchsia microglitter, and real silver flakes.”

I’ve used 3 thin coats plus top coat for my photos.

The formula on this is a little thin but not too runny or uncontrollable. The flakes and microflakies didn’t stick up, it’s a smooth laying polish. This polish can also be layered, which Polish Hound did a nice job of showing on her blog!

I’m so glad I picked this polish up – it truly is unique. If the name is anything to go by, might we be seeing some “new tricks” from ALIQUID Lacquer soon? I certainly hope so!

What’s In My Travel Bag: Manicure Edition

Hey and good morning all! Continuing my series of “What’s In My Travel Bag”, I thought you might be interested in what I carry with me for my nails during a trip. I’m assuming you (like me) are starting your trip already having done your manicure.

For short trips I have just a few requirements: 1) whatever I bring has to fit in a small makeup bag 2) whatever I bring has to truly be a need. So let’s get started, shall we?

Good morning! Are you ready for a fantastic Friday? My boyo doesn’t have school today, so I’m hanging out with him. I’d better hurry this up before he gets bored with the game I’m letting him play on my phone. 😉

Gloss48 rounds up the best in indie beauty, including nail polishes, and sells them at first at great introductory prices (which is when I bought my set), then offers them later at regular prices. Dots and Stripes Nail Art

Good morning, wonderful readers! Today I have a fun nail art look to show you, inspired by the polishes that were just sitting around on my nail desk.

*Programming Note* I had quite a few polishes & nail art looks I wasn’t able to show you in 2015, so I’ll be trying to get those posted over the next couple of weeks. 

I’ve used OPI Alpine snow with Mentality Black Holo (matte) on my pointer finger, ALIQUID Lacquer The Skeleton’s Ring with Mentality Sailor on my middle and ring fingers, and Indigo Bananas Grave Importance on my pinky.

I’m honestly not sure what I was going for here, but I like the end result. What do you think?

Geometric Nail Art with ALIQUID Lacquer Corpse de Ballet

Good morning, and hello reader! I am so excited to show you this nail art today. I was inspired by Love. Varnish, chocolate and more… and while mine isn’t near as perfect as hers, I still love it!

I started off with 2 coats of ALIQUID Lacquer Corpse de Ballet. This is such a perfectly soft and perfect pink, even I love it! Those grey specks are so pretty.

I then used OPI Skating on Thin Ice-land and Mentality Hard Candy to create triangles.

What do you think? It’s a fun look that you could do in so many different color combinations, in my opinion. Don’t forget to go check out Deborah’s original version at the link above.
