Polishes used:
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Luck Isn’t a Super Power, 3 coats
Moonflower Polish Fluorite Glow [press sample, previously swatched]
If you recall when I did my tiger stripe manicure awhile back, I had been inspired by kombucha_witch_ on instagram after failing to recreate a manicure of hers. I asked around and no one has heard of how I do this technique and Erika Elswick (from Forty Winks Jewelry) came up with the term distressed stamping. Keep reading to the end for a short lesson on how I created this mani!
I told you when I showed you the swatch of Fluorite Glow that the glow on this polish was incredible and I hope between the swatch photos and this nail art you can see for yourself how drop dead gorgeous it is!
Basically I keep painting over the stamp head until the polish starts to pull up (because it’s drying out). Once I like how it looks, I apply it over a base color to my nails. Pretty simple and easy…and it all started with failing at a different technique!
