Good morning, how are you? It’s Saturday and it’s going to be a crazy weekend for me, so I’ve gotta hop to it this morning. 😉
Today’s prompt is red and green: talk about free form! Sometimes I don’t do so good with the free form (or the talking, as it turns out). Anyway, I wanted to go with a vintage look, so I decided to go with a minty/bright green with bright red and stark white.
I started off with 3 coats of Sally Hansen Perfect Pear-ing on all fingers except my ring finger. Perfect Pear-ing is a really lovely minty green but dang it hates to self-level! On my ring finger, I’ve used Sally Hansen White On (2 coats). Then using Sally Hansen Red Snapper, I created dots and stripes! I ended up free handing the stripes, so they aren’t too straight, but dang it, I was in a hurry!
Let’s see what everyone else had in mind for today:
What do you think about this? I’d love to know! I know that I’ve been doubling up on posts every day lately, and I apologize, but I have a lot of posts to get through before the end of the year. Let me know your thoughts – are two posts a day too much?
I’m also participating in the annual holiday nails blog hop hosted by The Sparkle Queen:
I really like the colours you used for this, that mint definitely makes me think vintage! Great job. 🙂
Thank you, Katherine! 🙂
Amazing x
Wow this is so pretty and seasonal 🙂
Thank you, Tracey!
Yuck for Minty green not wanting to self level, but this is a pretty manicure anyway. Definitely feel the vintage vibe.
I hate when polishes don’t self-level, it annoys me so much! Thank you for the compliment!
Love that green you used. Its so fresh and vibrant and goes well with the polka dots and stripes.
Thanks, Lisa!
So bright and fun and festive! Your stripes look great – no worries!
Thank you, Ali! 🙂
your nails look beautiful!
xx
Thank you! 🙂
I love your Christmas look!
Thank you, Andrea!
So cute. I need to do something like this for the holidays.
Definitely! 🙂 Thanks!
This look is adorable!! I don’t mind that you’ve been double posting! I double post all the time….so I can’t really be against it or else that’d be kind of lame of me…..but the more nails the better in my opinion! So keep them coming! (:
Thanks Marisa! I worry unnecessarily about stuff (like, all the time!).
These are one of my favorite red-and-green shade combos for Christmas!
In regards to two posts a day–If you want/need to go for it. If it will burn you out, then that’s no good either. I’m glad when I can keep up two posts per week 😉
As of right now, most are pre-scheduled/done so it isn’t extra work. If it becomes extra work, I’ll scale back. 🙂
I love stripes and dots so combining them is fab for me!
Yes! Me too! 🙂
Love the green! Love the design! X
Thank you! 🙂
Vintage is yes! Also it’s so happy hun!
Thanks Mandy!
I’m so in love with the minty green and red combination you’ve got going on! And your freehand stripes are better than my stamped stripes lol!!
Oh thank you, Sumeet! 🙂
Love it, it’s so vibrant and fun! A very merry xmas mani!
Thank you, Lothwen!
Such a bright, fun take on it!
